The dynamic forms of storytelling and image-making emerging in the world give artists so many possibilities to explore and to integrate diverse media and disciplines. This symposium offers a glimpse into the extraordinary ways contemporary artists share their visions and stories to the public today.
Storytelling is universal, imaginative and engaging: it brings people together to experience old or untold stories, myths, morals and fantasies in a communal setting.
The twelve Canadian and international visual and performance artists invited to participate this year all have a keen interest in challenging our assumptions about storytelling. Therefore, we are proud to invite you to join us in this great rendez-vous!
