THE GRAND ADVENTURE !
For some 27 years, during the month of August, Baie-Saint-Paul has been welcoming
artists from all over the world. The Symposium of International Contemporary Art
of which the whole community is so justly proud, has established Baie-Saint-Paul
as a foremost rendez-vous for visual arts. Visitors now total more than 500 000.
The Symposium is an adventure: It is the live creative quest for works of art performed
for thousands of visitors who have come to accompany the artists in their thematic
pursuits.
This year, the theme proposed by our Commissioner, Unbelievable and Marvelous,
is meant to shake us out of boredom and to guide us toward the fiction and the eccentricities
which lie dormant in each of us.
Let yourself be swept away by the frenzy and the desire to win over our artists.
It is my fervent wish that this 27th edition will represent a great artistic experience
for all visitors and artists!
